Central Citizens' Library District is now offering the Dear Reader library service to help you select reading materials more easily. The service, which can be accessed through the library's homepage, offers patrons the opportunity to receive several different kinds of notices.
New Book Alerts will automatically send you alerts about new books, videos, and music that has been added to the collection.
Book News allows you to subscribe to monthly newsletters featuring new releases in a wide variety of genres. You can choose to receive e-mails about as many different genres as you like. You can also immediately view information about these books online.
Online Book Club lets you sample new books. Every day, Monday through Friday, you will receive in your e-mail a five-minute selection from a chapter of a book. By the end of the week, you'll have read two to three chapters. Every Monday a new book starts. What a great way to try a new book and see if you are interested!
